Selected Project Experience:

Environment and Planning
Numerous
Individual planning noise and vibration studies and Environmental Impact Assessments in support of the introduction of new noise-sensitive (e.g. residential, education, healthcare) and noise-generating (e.g. industrial, commercial, sport & leisure) development and change of use applications.

Commissions range from large mixed-use developments through to individual dwelling houses and building services plant schemes.
Architectural Acoustic Design
Brent Cross Shopping Centre
Full acoustic design services (RIBA 2-6) in support of the £1.4 bn extension and modernisation of the shopping centre (new bus station, 200 retail units, 60 restaurants, cinema/bowling complex, hotel accommodation and new homes).
Elwick Place, Ashford
Provision of full acoustic design services of a major mixed-use development on vacant brownfield land adjoining HS1 comprising two residential building blocks, a six screen 950 seat cinema, a 60-bed family hotel and eight new A3 restaurants and café units. Key works included: (i) high performance façade engineering in the control of break-in and break-out noise; (ii) building isolation engineering in the control of ground-borne vibration from train movements; (iii) acoustic design of separating constructions between adjoining demises; (iv) internal acoustic treatments and (v) MEP acoustic design roomside and to atmosphere.
Burlington Gate, Mayfair
Provision of full acoustic design services in support of redevelopment of the existing building into 42 luxury apartments with world-class amenities, together with art gallery space and a restaurant on the ground floor. The modern contemporary design and constraints of a tight city centre site proving challenging in the control of reverberation in common areas and building services plant noise emissions.
Vibration Measurement, Analysis and Isolation Design
Gym and Studios, London
Full acoustic design services (RIBA 2-6) in support of the refurbishment and extension of an existing spa in London.
Works included initial investigation of noise and vibration transfer through the building structure, leading to the design of a concrete floating floor system and slam wall to control structure borne noise and vibration.
Squash Club, South Northamptonshire
Detailed investigation of direct and indirect noise transfer between a squash club and new abutting residence formed by conversion of an agricultural barn. Retained to identify practical and cost-effective measures to mitigate intruding noise. Further, complete commissioning testing to determine the performance of the works undertaken.
