Acoustic Testing
We provide cost-effective acoustic testing within residential, education, office and healthcare premises. This is usually for one of two reasons:
- 1. Establishing the current level of sound insulation performance and privacy afforded between adjoining areas. Where shortfalls in performance are identified then this allows tailored improvements to be recommended.
- 2. Demonstrating compliance with mandatory and voluntary design standards, which is essential for quality assurance.

Building Regulations Approved Document E (ADE)
This sets out mandatory minimum airborne and impact sound insulation standards for party walls and floors between adjoined new-build and converted dwellings and rooms for residential purposes.

All of our sound insulation tests are carried out in accordance with relevant industry standards and good practice procedures to ensure the faithfulness, reproducibility and repeatability of field tests.
All of our test engineers are full Members of the Institute of Acoustics (MIOA).
